Application Process
Before mentoring or volunteering in a school, all participants must complete the following steps:

NOTE: Once you complete the application, you will be provided a link to make an appointment for fingerprinting and receive a personalized waiver form to use to cover the cost of your background check.
View videos on Child Abuse and Neglect and Sexual Harassment (you will be given directions on where to view these after completing the application). The certificate of completion will go to the school where you are volunteering.
Participate in an approximate 2-hour training regarding AACPS school practices and other related topics. Training will occur twice a month. Dates and times can be found below.
NOTE: *All Mentors will be required to stay for an additional 30 minutes of mentorship-specific training.
