September 26, 2024
This page provides provides information related to Short Cycle Learning Tasks (SCLT) and the adjustments Anne Arundel County Public Schools is making based on recent feedback from a variety of stakeholders.
What are SCLTs? SCLTs are tasks designed to provide teachers, students, and families with a snapshot of student growth during a designated interval to determine a student’s present level of performance against a content standard/course expectation.
How are SCLTs utilized? SCLTs provide feedback and show students what they have mastered in relationship to content that has been taught, and where they have gaps. These tasks should be used by teachers to make responsive decisions about student learning around instruction before the end of the marking period.
