Appointments are required when hand-delivering a bid.    Please call or email the Purchasing Office well in advance of the bid due date to make an appointment for delivery. 

Electronic bid submission are accepted and strongly encouraged. The main Purchasing email address is purchasing@aacps.org. You may also email the buyer named in the solicitation.

Bid openings are live, but attendance may be limited because of capacity constraints. Please refer to the individual Request for Bids for more information on bid submissions and attendance at prebid meetings and bid openings.

AACPS comprises 128 schools and more than 84,000 students. The operating budget for FY 2022 is $1.37 billion. The Board of Education and the Superintendent have authorized the Supervisor of Purchasing to award contracts for services, construction, maintenance, commodities and equipment, leases, and architectural/engineering services.  The Board must approve most contracts exceeding $100,000. This flexibility allows us to quickly respond to the needs of our schools.  All qualified businesses are encouraged to bid on AACPS contracts.
