International Student & Family Welcome Center (IWC)

What is the International Student and Family Welcome Center (IWC)?

The IWC is the first point of contact for families entering Anne Arundel County Public Schools from outside of the United States. Our office has the capability to communicate in any language. At the IWC parents/guardians will:

  • register students for school

  • have students screened for English Language Development (ELD)

  • get general information about community services and resources

Who registers at the IWC?

  • Students coming from international schools, excluding DoDEA schools.

  • Kindergartners arriving from outside of the United States and are registering for the current school year after October 31.
