Career & Technical Education - CTE
Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students the opportunity to explore careers, gain real-world skills and certifications, and lay the groundwork to a bright future. AACPS offers over 50 CTE completer programs tailored to a wide range of interests and career fields. We believe that all students should have access to programs that prepare them for high wage, high skill, and in demand careers- regardless of how prepared they are when they walk into our classrooms.
By completing CTE programs, students can:
Earn industry certifications and college credits alongside meeting high school graduation requirements.
Develop knowledge and skills in a career field.
Prepare for entry-level employment and/or further their education at a college, technical school, or an apprenticeship program.
CTE courses are offered at the comprehensive high schools as well as the Center of Applied Technology North and the Center of Applied Technology South.
