What is BCD?
The Business and Community Development (BCD) Department works with the community to cultivate relationships that will benefit students, families, and employees. Our team:
Creates partnerships with businesses and individuals in the community;
Works with families, schools, and communities to facilitate meaningful communication between families and schools;
Aids grant development across the county;
Provides consulting and coordinates campaigns to help AACPS better share its stories and programs with the community;
Coordinates training and resources to support student success;
Serves as the liaison to the Education Foundation of Anne Arundel County Public Schools, the non-profit, fundraising partner of the school system.

How Can I Become A Partner?
There are many ways to get involved with our schools:
Volunteer at a school.
Host an internship, job shadow, or enclave training program to expose students to career opportunities and on-the-job training.
Join a high school Signature Program Advisory Board.
Serve as an AVID mentor for middle and high school students.
Sponsor an event for students, employees, or families.
Donate to support AACPS schools, students, and programs.
