Dear Oakwood Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am truly honored to be with you and your children for another year. I am eagerly anticipating getting to know all our new families, as well as see our current families! Again, welcome to Oakwood Elementary School. My name is Kai Cunningham and I would like to extend a warm welcome to you as your Principal.
This year, we are walking in a new territory, and that is exciting. We will be implementing a new Reading Curriculum, CKLA. We are now a community school. Being a community school will afford us the opportunity to work with you and the community to bring needed resources to our school and our families. Please be on the lookout for more information and how you can be involved in the process. Our theme for the 2024-2025 school year is Reach For The Stars! We will be setting goals and working hard to help our students do their absolute best. We are also a PBIS School and our goal is to:
