The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County will honor four county students who have been named National Merit Scholarship finalists at its next meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Also at the meeting, the Board will hear a summary of key education-related legislation considered by the Maryland General Assembly during its most recent session, which concluded on April 7.

We are quickly approaching the end of the school year, which is also the end to all of the current PTSO board members terms.
The following positions need nominations for next year's board:
President - Runs monthly meetings, coordinates with school administration for activities, works closely with all other board members
Treasurer - Balances account, handles reimbursements, sets yearly budget, coordinates with school financial secretary
Secretary - Takes attendance at monthly meetings, takes minutes at monthly meetings, posts minutes after the monthly meetings
Marlin Night Coordinator - Works with school administration to coordinate school usage for event, coordinates committees and members to run the event
VP of Hospitality - Uses sign up genius for donations and volunteers for 5-6 yearly teacher/staff events at the school
VP of Fundraising - Sets up fundraising activities throughout the school year (ex: restaurant nights, skate nights, etc)
Webmaster - Maintains PTSO general website, coordinates with other board members when online payments are needed, ensures payments are scheduled for all IT uses
Starting immediately, nominations will be ongoing until the May monthly meeting (tentatively May 19th).
