Join us for the 2nd Annual Backpack Giveaway on Saturday, August 23 at North County High School. The event begins at 11:00 AM. Backpacks will be available for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Students must be present to receive a backpack. Food and additional resources will also be available. Anne Arundel County Public Schools and the Anne Arundel County Chapter of the National Action Network will host a forum to discuss education and law enforcement issues from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, in the Board Room of the Parham Building, located at 2644 Riva Road in Annapolis. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Bedell will be joined by members of the county and city of Annapolis police departments as well as the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office.
