Join us now on our YouTube channel for “School Sounds Holiday Edition,” this episode featuring musicians from South River High School
“School Sounds” is produced and directed by student intern, Kailyn Beath.

"School Sounds" is a traveling music showcase that highlights the talent of AACPS students in intimate, live performances, akin to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts. The performances are filmed at various schools throughout the year, creating a rotating stage where students can perform in diverse environments, offering viewers a unique snapshot of AACPS’s vibrant student music scene. This initiative will foster student creativity, school pride, and community engagement. The program is directed by student interns with the assistance of the Anne Arundel County Public Schools Television Department.

In this week’s edition of Thursday Thoughts, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Bedell talks about his recommended Fiscal Year 2026 budget and the quest to become a phenomenal school district in this country. #AACPSFamily #BelongGrowSucceed
