For the 13th consecutive year and 15th time overall, the National Procurement Institute has recognized Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ Purchasing Office as one of the best in the United States.
The 2024 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award once again puts AACPS’ Purchasing Office in elite company. AACPS is one of just 23 school systems and 198 agencies across the United States and Canada to earn the award.
The award recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence by obtaining a high score based on standardized criteria including innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement, and leadership attributes of the procurement organization.
“When done right, the work of a Purchasing Office happens seamlessly behind the scenes and with little, if any, public recognition,” Anne Arundel County Public Schools Chief Financial Officer Matt Stanski said. “This award demonstrates the commitment of our school system and our Purchasing Office to the prudent expenditure of precious taxpayer resources to help every one of the students in our care below, grow, and succeed. Every resident of our county should be proud of this team’s work.”
