Special Education
The RTL/ MAAPP is an alternative certification program sponsored by the Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) in collaboration with Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU) and approved by the Maryland State Department of Education.
The Special Education RTL Alternative Preparation Program sponsors a cohort of people who receive intensive preservice training, placement in a special education teaching position, graduate level coursework, seminars and mentoring over a two-year period.
We have successfully graduated cohorts since 2006.
the Next Cohort Will Begin Spring/summer 2025 and End Summer 2027.
