The PVA Visual Arts Program focuses on developing students as artists who are able to effectively communicate ideas through their art. The importance of the artistic process in relationship to finished product will be emphasized. Students will gain a sense of personal voice as well as an understanding of their role as an artist in society. Students will gain skills with a variety of media and techniques in both traditional and digital art forms. In addition to developing artistic abilities, students will learn to respond to the work of others and engage in the process of constructive critiques. As a result, students will be able to creatively solve problems, both individually and collaboratively.
