
Studio 39 is home to the AACPS High School students in the Apex Arts Magnet Program!
Studio 39 is a dynamic arts learning and presentation space located in the heart of the Admiral Heights neighborhood in Annapolis. The building boasts a modern theatre, art gallery, dance studio, film lab, recording and music rehearsal spaces, multiple visual arts classrooms, and production shops to facilitate state of the art creativity.
Annapolis High School and Broadneck High School students attend Studio 39 for Senior Capstone, Business for the Arts, prime courses, as well as Apex+ Projects and Applied Arts classes. Our creative and performing arts space provides our Apex Arts students with the resources they need to flourish in their chosen prime.
Studio 39 was built in 1939 as the original Germantown Elementary School. The building was commissioned to become an instructional and performance facility for the high school arts magnet program and re-opened as Studio 39 in 2015. In its current form, Studio 39 serves as a modern, state of the art creative space while also maintaining its historical charm.
