What is a Community School?

As a Community School in AACPS, our role in collaboration with families, community members, and students, is to further enhance our school and strengthen conditions for student learning and healthy development.  Resources and supports for students and families will be in areas such as adult education, academic enrichment/after school programing, physical and mental health support services, field trips during the year, early childhood activities and more!  Resources and programs will be tailored to our specific community and needs so parent and family input is crucial. All students flourish in thriving school communities and we look forward to expanding all that GBPE has to offer!
