Our School Counseling Office

Supports Provided by the School Counseling Department

  • Consultation and counseling services for students, teachers, and parents to promote academic success.

  • Individual and group counseling services on an ongoing and as needed basis.

  • Attendance at appropriate community and agency meetings that support student families and community members.

  • Coordination with multiple agencies to ensure access to necessary services.

  • Collaboration with administration, interdisciplinary teams, support staff, and community members to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students

  • Participation on the following school teams as appropriate: Incident Command Team, SIT, MIT, IEP, IDT, and 504

  • Interpret and maintain the permanent records of students.

  • Evaluate the records of entering students for proper placement.

  • Provide necessary information for transferring students.

  • Coordination of articulation meetings for students entering and leaving middle school.

  • Coordination of a comprehensive conflict resolution program to include management restorative practices and the middle school Advisory program.

  • Utilization of data for purposeful program planning
