Exhibit

We would like to invite you to a gallery event celebrating the artwork of our talented Apex Arts Visual Art Seniors!  The show’s theme is “Tipping the Scales”, in which students were challenged with creating one oversized piece and one tiny piece. Students united their two artworks with an individual concept or theme and then curated the layout of their personal space. Connecting two artworks with such disparate scales is a grandiose endeavor. Embracing the imposing nature of an oversized piece, and simultaneously inviting the viewer into the intimacy of a small piece is a formidable task. You will see the full range of traditional art mediums, including: linoleum cuts, gouache, watercolor, ink, acrylic, oil, pastels, colored pencils, and mixed media! Our seniors have spent three years finding their artistic voice and perfecting their technique, so join us in celebrating a small selection showcasing their epic growth!

The show will be at The Gallery at 39, with an opening on November 1st from 5:30-7:00 pm. We will have light refreshments and all the seniors will be in attendance! You are welcome to bring your family and friends to see the work, art is meant to be viewed! If you can’t stay for the whole grand event, please consider stopping by for a teensy bit of time!
