Q: How are libraries partnering with AACPS?

A:  All students in Anne Arundel County Public Schools have access to the SAIL (Student Access to Improved Learning) with their local library.  For more information click on this link

The following libraries are supporting the #AACPSReadWithMe and #AACPSPowerUpRead Challenge by hosting a closing celebration the first Saturday in Februrary from 10:00-11:00 am at the Odenton Regional Library, Glen Burnie Regional Library, and the Eastport-Annapolis Neck Branch Library.  

Q: How does the Office of Equity celebrate diversity and promote equitable practices?

A:  There is an Equity Lead in every AACPS school and center who receive professional development four times a year. These leads are charged with delivering the professional learning at each of the four two-hour early dismissal days for all faculty and staff in each building. Topics include: Implicit Bias, Culturally Responsive Teaching, and All Means All.

A:  Equitable practices are shared with all district stakeholders. All practices are shared through the classroom practices guide.
