In addition to submitting an AACPS Magnet Application, students who are interested in enrolling in the Apex Arts Magnet Program must complete an audition. The primary purpose of the audition is to help ensure that students entering the program are exposed to the expectations of the program prior to making a long term commitment to enroll. Completion of an audition is a prerequisite to be entered into the AACPS Magnet Lottery.

Audition appointments will be automatically assigned once student eligibility is verified. (Email confirmation of the date and time of the audition will be sent when the appointment is scheduled).
Please plan to hold BOTH posted dates until your audition is scheduled & you receive official notification of your time.
Audition appointments are limited and changes are not guaranteed. Requests to change your audition appointment can be made HERE. (We will do our best to accommodate requests, but there is limited flexibility due to the number of other auditions taking place).
Students who miss their audition appointment will not be eligible to go to the AACPS Magnet Lottery. Students who miss their scheduled December or January audition will be eligible to audition during the Spring Auditions, with offers being limited based on seat availability at that time.

PREPARATION
All Apex Arts Primes have auditions that require preparation in advance. A full list of audition requirements will be posted below within the first two weeks of the 2024-25 School Year.
