2020 Teacher of the Year Program

Anne Arundel County Public Schools 2020 Teacher of the Year

Emily Davis

“First and foremost, for me this is about being a voice for my students, for my school, and for other teachers in Anne Arundel County. I am committed to supporting the furthering of equity professional development, to filling in those gaps that exist for a lot of our students, and to representing the amazing teachers that we have in this county.”

   - Emily Davis

Emily Davis, Brooklyn Park Middle School Language Arts teacher, was named the 2019-2020 Anne Arundel County Public Schools Teacher of the Year. Through a co-taught instructional model, Davis takes great care to encourage and nurture every student’s academic, social, and emotional development. This approach yields great strides for students who previously struggled with reading.
