Anne Arundel County Public Schools 2016 Teacher of the Year

Headshot of Katrina Griffin

"I am the guide and facilitator in the classroom, planning for learning and providing resources and space for students to become proficient in the German language and culture. It is not my job to tell students what to think, rather it is my responsibility to teach them how to think."

   - Katrina Griffin

Katrina Griffin, a German Teacher at North County High School, was named the 2015-2016 Anne Arundel County Public Schools Teacher of the Year. Ms. Griffin was also a Maryland State Teacher of the Year finalist and was named the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) National Language Teacher of the Year.
