The Employee of the month has done a fabulous job creating community amongst the administrative and secretarial staff at the Center of Applied Technology – North.

She is thoughtful and thinks of others first. She is acutely aware of who needs help, and she is quick to provide it.

Principal’s Secretary, Mrs. Sheryl Neville.

Mrs. Neville is the consummate professional. She has a calm, welcoming, and positive demeanor, but tenaciously attends to tasks and her follow-through is second to none. Due to her leadership, the focus on customer service and attention to students in the office at CAT North is amazing! Her actions align with her core value of treating every person with kindness, compassion, and love. She treats everyone with respect and fairness.

Sheryl is an “AACPS Rockstar,” says former Principal Joe Rose. She continually expands her knowledge base as well as encourage others to grow their skill sets in both technical and soft skills. She regularly joins staff in the hallways to greet students as they enter school. It is the little things like this that helps make CAT North the best school on this side of the Colorado River. She maintains excellent working relationships with all students, staff members, and business partners.

Additionally, she leads the office team with respect and dignity. She has facilitated training for her colleagues to increase their knowledge base regarding software and customer service skills. Her willingness to learn and become highly proficient with different technologies over the last few years is commendable. She has proven time and time again that she can handle a wide range of tasks promptly and efficiently while ensuring the school runs smoothly.
