Why sing at home alone, when you can come sing with friends? Join the Glen Burnie Chorus today and YOU might be the next Toni Braxton! We perform in the winter and Spring Concerts, community events, and graduation.

Students who are unable to find room in their schedules for chorus may still be able to participate on an extra-curricular basis. Rehearsal days are either Tuesday or Wednesday after school. See the individual choir description for more details.

Vocal Ensemble

Vocal Ensemble is open to any GBHS students in grades 10-12 by audition only. This group is dedicated to performing music of the highest caliber. Those audition for VE are expected to enroll in the class for the entire year. Members of Vocal Ensemble perform a variety of music, and are the main GBHS vocal performance organization. Vocal Ensemble will practice every Tuesday from 4:00 – 5:30 PM.

Concert Choir

Concert Choir is open to any chorus and vocal ensemble student. This group is dedicated to performing a wide variety of music. Concert Choir members are selected through audition and should be members for the entire year. Concert Choir will practice after school every Tuesday from 2:15 – 3:30 P.M.

Gospel Choir

Gospel Choir is open to any GBHS student. This group is dedicated to performing a wide variety of gospel music. These students will perform on campus in the winter and spring concerts. The Gospel Choir will also perform in other concerts throughout the community. Members of the Gospel Choir MUST be enrolled in either Chorus or Vocal Ensemble class. Since this group meets after school, members must regularly attend rehearsals AND maintain a 2.0 GPA. Students should be members for the entire year. Gospel Choir will practice after school every Wednesday from 2:15 – 4:15 PM.
